The CVT fluid is advertised as "lifetime" fluid, and it depends how you define "lifetime" as, 5yrs or 100yrs.

The 2.5L engine in a 2015 Outback makes 170 hp at 5,800 rpm and 174 lb*ft of torque at 4,100 rpm. The 2.4L turbo engine in the Ascent makes 260 hp at 5,600 rpm and 277 lb*ft of torque at 2,000-4,800 rpm. That's a 53% increase in horsepower and a 59% increase in torque. I made that mistake with my 2014 Forester XT. Not doing that again. Brake break-in has been discussed in this forum as one of the possible causes for the warping/chattering issues. It might be hard to give the brakes an easy first 1000 miles when living in mountainous areas. Just to add my 2 cents, I have a 2020 Limited with dealer installed revision D pads with 2800 miles on them.
