As for traits, I'd recommend swapping out Durable for Emotion Emulators which is just ridiculously good at 1 trait point. It would be one of the best traits in the game for Machine empires even if it costed 3 points, and it only costs 1. Everything else is a great pick. Those are fine civics and traits.
