I have received a brand new ring today. I put it on a charger and after 1h I paired it with the app. The app showed battery at 1%. I connected the charger to a different power source using a different cable - the battery did not start to increase. I then unpaired the ring from the app and connected the charger to yet another power source/cable.This has been driving me crazy as well.
