a guy pretty much took control of the official servers, people like infered here have concerns over privacy since his hack is basicy a backdoor, but this is a case of hackers hacking to better things, sice his hack injects his own anticheat that instabans ingame hackers. i had the game installed for over a year and nothing malicious has happened. infact i get into games easier than BO3

It will say retry and something else, if you retry you have to login, it won't help you any, still never works. Sometimes you can restart your computer or disconnect your router for a minute. It may help but it doesn't always, depends on Steams servers of how long they are down. It can vary from a few seconds/minutes to 30+ minutes.
